2010 definitely started on the right foot. One month into the year, I was already graced with a couple of blessings.

Career-wise; my contract status was lifted and my position at IPC got permanent.

Love life is just sweet and too good to be true. My head is still in cloud nine as I type this.

He’s my complete opposite. Height, nationality, personality. I must’ve done something right to be able to catch and hold his attention and interest like this.

He wants to see Philippines with me! He’s already looking at the next long-weekends and asking me about my vacation days. (I think our Las Vegas just got scratched off!) What to do, where to go! I’m going to have to plan everything out. I want him to be impressed and to have fun.

Oh the stress level is already shooting up. Yikes!

With much drama and last minute shiznit…my girls and I finally pulled off our New York City trip. Gotta admit though, I was thinking of backing out due to financial restraints (lol), err, due to a pending Dominican Republic trip that cost me a grand plus plus. I was undergoing a spending phase and my lust for NY wasn’t enough. But I went anyway. Might as well see the Big Apple.

This was the reason why:

C’mon Fil-Canadian bigwigs; get your wheels rolling and establish a Jollibee in Toronto already! Don’t make me mad!

We took the ferry to Staten Island but not really planning on getting off onto the island; we just wanted to see the Statue of Liberty

Rockefeller..? I don’t know much about this place. Look picture!

Of course when I think New York I think the massive retail giants. For a shopaholic like me, this was heaven. Too bad I didn’t get to go shopping. Clearly, 2 days weren’t enough. So it was pure sight-seeing.

The ever-animated and lively Timesquare

Aaaaaand the surprise and highlight of the whole trip: The accidental spotting of one of Gossip Girl sets…

Chuck Bass’ empire The Palace Hotel on 455 Madison! aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaahhhhhh!!!

This was the night before our departure. One o’clock in the morning the three of us GG fangirls found ourselves…well, by ourselves roaming the streets feeling like paparazzi. The adrenaline was awesome. The GG boys were all in that spot and OhH my Ed Westwick! They were there in spirit LoL. *thud*

I definitely have to go back. For now, stay glamorous New York City.

Kuya Jorick and Ate Cathy trained all the way up from Saskatchewan down to the heart of Ontario. They stayed here for a good three weeks and I’m pretty sure they covered all territories; malls (they LOVED Dixie Mall and so do I) to falls (Niagara!) and by the way, oh man they’re such awesome cooks!

We took them on a boat trip around Toronto Islands, which mind-bogglingly cost $20 each person. Epic rip off!

Another highlight was the Niagara Falls trip. The day was lovely but it’s always colder by the water. There was a spot in the area where you can get soaked PRETTY GOOD. It was a cold spring day!

We also hit the downtown streets of Niagara. It was so colourful and lively. My favourite was the fudge store! We also went on the very high-tech ferris wheel ride that went on three laps.

Come back to Toronto next year Kuya Jorick and Ate Cathy! And make sure it’s summer when you do! We miss you and your awesome cooking!

My tolerance with this driver license suspension drama has been stretched to amazing miles I did not know existed.
Even if I COULD drive, I can’t spend much money anyway cuz I’m going to Dominican in May.
Oh the importance of being idle.

I finally got my dream phone; a Blackberry Curve 8320!

I was leaning towards Blackberry Bold because it was on promotion during the holidays last year (it was selling for $150 only!) and idiotically I ignored it. I thought Bold looked masculine. Price was awesome though.

8320 is surprisingly light, nice big screen, LOVE the keyboard, access to internet (Facebooking at work which I’m trying to avoid anyway Haha), Wi-Fi capability, Blackberry Messenger, nice picture quality, and all them snazzy features like memopad, calendar, voice recorder; the mini luxuries I didn’t have with a RAZR.

I have to watch out my use of internet though. There’s a limit after 2 MB. Unfortunately I don’t even know how big 2 MB of data is. I shall now try to minimize, or if possible, annihiliate my use of text, because I tend to go overboard with it. Just last month it cost me an extra $12 just for texting! I would have paid measly $40 for my bill if I hadn’t went crazy texting with my Meantime Boy.

Let’s see what kind of adventures are in store for me with this shiny new toy.

I call this baby Curve: Marilyn.

(Well you know I might as well name it. I named my car Diego. If I ever upgrade this Curve to a Bold, I will have to name it Ara Mina)

Remember this entry?

Well surprise surprise.

My driver’s license is now suspended for a month because of the violation I did back in February (novice driver driving with alcohol in the system). It came as a whopping surprise, for I had no idea how the rules went. I had to surrender my sweet innocent license to the ministry this morning, I had such a hard time parting ways.

What a sweet sweet way to learn a lesson. But me?, a sweet innocent citizen of Mississauga? There are so many assholes and road offenders out there that actually get away with everything they do as they please.

Sweet, wrong justice.

To add cherry on top of it all, on one of my last dying days of still being able to drive, someone reversed INTO my car as I was looking for a parking spot in a Chinese grocery store.

Sweet, wrong timing.

Thank god the person who rammed her car into mine is actually nice and willing to take responsibility. After I got a damage estimation from a bodyshop, the costs to repair the door totalled to a hefty $945. Let’s see if she’ll still be nice and actually pay me up.

2009, when will you finally be good to me? 2008 was fabulous, but you, you keep knocking me down.

Ruffles and ribbons and headbands are in! Cutesy, flairy, girly, huge billowing (okay over-exag) ruffles and ribbons are in! I’m even impressed with Urban Behaviour. It seems to be leading the pack! The clothes are fantastic, and I’ve noticed they’ve upped the prices too. Of course my favorite Sirens has its own lineage too, and the best part is: they’ve tagged BETTER prices!

Summoned the recent pages of Forever21.com, I’ve compiled my much coveted Blair-y profile. Can’t wait til summer hits!

Wow. When was the last time I crushed HEAVILY on a British guy. Orlando Bloom? I made a site dedicated to that bloke. And before that was Liam Howlett. I actually wrote a novel on him, starring “me” as his “ka-loveteam”. Haha! Plus I wrote a letter to myself listing my future goals and one of them stating that “I want to go to England and meet Liam Howlett”.

It was silly fan-girling at its finest. Amusing but silly. And I’m afraid I’m getting sucked into it all again. It’s happening before my very eyes. It’s such a tease, you know. Drooling and crushing over someone who I will NEVER meet anyway. Someone so frustratingly hot and sexy yet UNreacheable. Makes me want to annihilate his girlfriend Jessica Zohr. Or whatever the hell her last name is. Tss. They won’t last.

Mr. Ed Westwick. I know you’re five years my minor, but will you marry me?

The 7th was JC’s condo birthday jam. At first I felt nonchalant, not wanting to mingle with anyone except the friends I came with. I tend to be VERY anti-social.

I know I *should* network, but I wanted to let things flow naturally. And I earned me a new girlfriend.

But it was in that jam when I got turned off by concept of being a single woman thrown into a massive pool of bachelors in one small room. Some might think it’s man-shopping, but it gets uncomfortable.

Especially when I was LITERALLY stuck in between a leechy white dude who kept saying he was planning to buy a condo unit in SOHO and kept saying he’s “eccentric” and a Pinoy whom I called my personal ‘Chuck Bass’ a few posts back who kept asking me “Can’t you tell something about the way I’ve been looking at you all night?”

It was like Twilight Zone. I was waiting for one of them to reach over me and punch each other in the face. It wasn’t also fun when visibly, the married birthday boy himself was flirty.

But I had a nice slow dance number with a friend of ‘Chuck Bass’ near the end. He stuck out his hand and pulled me to the dance floor, and I just majorly suck at slow dancing a la twirling motion that he had to lead the dance.

“So when was the last time a guy danced with you like this?” he whispered. Then I thought, actually back in December, during Christmas party, with my ex. And I got sad all over again. *sigh*

My friend’s boyfriend had to jump in, pick me up and carry me away from the crowd of men around me while I was trying to leave the party.

It was frivolous. I felt free. No holds barred. No rules. No restrictions. The shiny fabulous single girl in the party, amidst the flood of bachelors, that turned vicious over my attention. But did I really want this?

I don’t want to participate in this kind of game anymore. I felt awkward. I would just like to be cuddling under a blanket and watching sports with the one I love.

It’s been a month now since the breakup. I was once told; “Don’t look for Mr. Right Now. Look for Mr. Right.”

Or. Not look at all. I’d rather chill.
